To encourage young people to participate in the Congress, the Executive Council has decided to establish scholarships covering registration fees, social dinner, accommodation and travel expenses (travel expenses will be reimbursed up to a maximum of €200.00) for students, PhD students and research fellows (including those residing abroad) who submit an abstract and apply to the S.B.I. no later than 5th June 2026.
Applications, together with a brief curriculum vitae, must be sent to the Secretariat of the Italian Botanical Society (sbi@unifi.it) at the same time as registration and submission of the abstract.
The Board of Directors will award the scholarships.
Winners must be members of the S.B.I., either at the time of application or after the scholarship has been awarded.
Candidates will NOT be required to pay the Congress registration fee until the scholarships have been awarded. Those who have not been awarded a scholarship may still choose to participate by paying the original amount.
